Notice of Intent To Sole Source - Gilman Corporation

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis. In accordance with FAR part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for these parts. The proposed source is Gilman Corporation, 1 Polly Lane, Gilman, Connecticut 06336-0000. The requirement is for the purchase of Gilman brand fenders and fender hardware to support the 45 Response Boat Medium (RB-M) and 47 Motor Life Boat (MLB). The duration of this contract will be 5 years from date of award. The award will be FOB Destination, with delivery orders to be fulfilled within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt from the Government. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote will be issued to Gilman Corporation and awarded within approximately Fifteen (15) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capacity to meet this requirement. The approved Justification and Approval, (J&A), for this requirement will be posted following the award of this requirement.
