B--USGS Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center (GEMSC) Chemical Analyses IDIQ

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive single-award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity contract to Biomarker Technologies Inc. for laboratory services supporting the Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center. Under solicitation 140G0122R0004, the contractor will provide geochemical analysis, interpretation, and training for a five-year performance period. Scope of work includes gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, and compound specific isotope analysis of whole oils, source rock extracts, and hydrocarbon fractions to facilitate the quantitative analysis of alkanes, biomarkers, and diamondoids.

This requirement is classified under NAICS 541380 Testing Laboratories and Services and PSC B517 SPECIAL STUDIES/ANALYSIS- GEOLOGICAL. Biomarker Technologies Inc. is identified as the only source capable of providing quantitative and extended diamondoid analysis, quantitative GC-MS/MS analysis for saturate and aromatic hydrocarbons, and compound specific isotope analysis of n-alkanes, biomarkers, and diamondoids. One redacted sole source justification attachment was provided with the notice on February 16, 2022.

While the government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.501(a), all responsible sources may submit a proposal for consideration by the agency.
