MDA J&A to Increase UARC IDIQ Value

The Missile Defense Agency has issued a Justification and Approval for a contract modification to increase the value and extend the performance of a sole-source University Affiliated Research Center agreement with the Utah State University Space Dynamics Laboratory. Performance takes place in Logan, Utah, under NAICS 541715 Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology) and PSC AC13 National Defense R&D Services; Department of Defense - Military; Experimental Development. The Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, Alabama, is the contracting activity for this cost-plus-fixed-fee effort, identified as contract HQ0854-22-D-0001.

This requirement provides technical and analytical support to develop and integrate products for the Missile Defense System. The agency requires continued access to the specialized knowledge and proprietary data resident with the laboratory to support the defense of the homeland and regional interests against ballistic missile threats in all phases of flight. The objective of the work is to maintain core competencies in accordance with the Department of Defense University Affiliated Research Center Engagement Guide. This action permits other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(3)(B), and associated documentation is provided in one redacted justification attachment under solicitation number HQ085422D0001P00020.
