PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-07-RP-0081 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Indian Health Service (IHS), and Department of Defense (DoD) to procure Propofol Injectable Emulsion. The estimated annual usage is as follows: 528,867 vials-10mg/ml, Inj Emulsion, 20ml; 72,529 vials-10mg/ml, Inj Emulsion, 50ml; and 170,297 vials-10mg/ml, Inj Emulsion, 100ml. The outer-pack must contain no more than 25 vials. The estimated annual usage listed above is for VA, IHS and DoD. VA reserves the right to add additional package sizes to the contract at a later date, when they become available or if offered in a vendor's proposal. This will not affect the quantities listed in the usage requirements. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DoD's respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor(s). Offeror's must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation NoVA-797-07-RP-0081will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about August 20, 2007, with a closing dateof September 18, 2007.
