Automatic Engine Start Stop (AESS) continuation and Air Leak Fuel Penalty Study

This study expands upon previous research conducted under contract 693JJ623C000028 and aims to quantify the fuel consumption and emissions impact of simulated brake pipe air leaks at 30 and 60 standard cubic feet per minute. While prior work addressed duty cycles during continuous operation, this follow-on requirement specifically investigates the additional engine operation time required for the AESS to maintain air pressure in the main reservoir.
