The U.S. Coast Guard Base Ketchikan has issued a notice of intent to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Full Cycle, LLC for non-hazardous waste disposal services in Ketchikan, Alaska. This requirement falls under NAICS code 562219, Other Nonhazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal, and PSC S222, Housekeeping- Waste Treatment/Storage. The government intends to acquire these commercial services following FAR Part 12 procedures, citing Full Cycle, LLC as the only qualified vendor on the island capable of providing comprehensive disposal. Market research indicates that sourcing these services from off-island vendors would result in significant logistical challenges, increased transportation costs, and delays that would impact operational readiness at the base.
The performance of these services will take place at USCG Base Ketchikan in Alaska. While this notice is not a request for competitive quotes, interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to Contracting Officer Benjamin Reedy for evaluation. The government will use these submissions to determine whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis. All responses for solicitation 70Z035NKETC00001 must be received by May 24, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Alaska time. No set-aside has been designated for this action.
