This is a solicitation for Household Goods Packing and Crating Services in Kanagawa.The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, except as specified herein as government-furnished, for the preparation of personal property (including servicing of appliances) of Department of Defense (DOD) personnel for shipment, drayage and/or storage and related services through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM). The solicitation closes on 14 June 2021 at 1400 Japan Standard Time. (1) A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka, Joint Personal Property Shipping Office (JPPSO Japan), Bldg 1848, Fleet Activities Yokosuka on 26 May 2021, 14:00, Japan Standard Time (JST) for the purpose of answering questions regarding this solicitation. Submit the names of all attendees (not to exceed 3 persons) to Capt Jinny Shen, Contract Specialist by e-mail at [email protected] and Mr. Ken Sato by e-mail at [email protected] prior to 21 May 2021, 02:00, JST. This information must be provided in advance in order to ensure access to the military base/conference site and adequate seating for the conference attendees. (2) Offerors are requested to submit questions to the point of contact noted above not later than 1 Jun 2021, 02:00 PM, JST. Information provided at this conference shall not qualify the terms and conditions of the solicitation and specifications. Terms of the solicitation and specifications remain unchanged unless the solicitation is amended in writing. If an amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of solicitation amendments shall apply. A record of the conference shall be made and furnished to all prospective bidders/offerors. The record should include minutes of the meeting, including questions and answers. (3) Escorting for U.S. Installations. In order to gain access on an U.S. installation for participation of the pre-proposal conference, the offerors must possess an individual identification with a photo.
