NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: bioMerieux - Preventative Maintenance

The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to award a sole source contract to bioMérieux, Inc. for the annual preventive maintenance, verification, and calibration of 13 media preparation units and nine TEMPO automated systems. These services support three FSIS field laboratories located in Athens, Georgia; Normandy, Missouri; and Albany, California. The proposed contract includes a 12-month base period followed by four 12-month option years. All maintenance must be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technicians using OEM parts to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards and to maintain the integrity of the proprietary equipment used for regulatory testing.
