NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg has issued a pre-solicitation notice for the procurement of torpedo components under solicitation number N0010426RK066. The requirement includes 155 units of NSN 1356-00-415-6713 (TW58) and 635 units of NSN 1356-01-123-4744 (YW09). This unrestricted procurement is classified under NAICS 325920 Explosives Manufacturing and PSC 1356 Torpedos and Components, Explosive. The acquisition includes one-year options for up to 110% of the base quantity for TW58 and 100% of the base quantity for YW09.

Because the items contain explosives, a pre-award safety survey is required, and DFARS 252.223-7002, Safety Precautions for Ammunition and Explosives, applies. Performance requirements include first article testing, production lot testing, and the submission of contractor data requirements lists. Deliverable items are designated as FOB Origin, while testing and data requirements are FOB Destination. Special security, safety, and transportation clauses will apply to the explosive ordnance items.
