Notice of Intent to Sole Source Contract to Safran Optics 1

FBO would not let me post a response date....the response date of this notice is June 6, 2017 at 8:00am EST. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to negotiate on a sole source basis, with Safran Optics 1. The Government intends to negotiate a fixed-price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the maintenance of Vectronix equipment in support of the protective mission. A Sole Source procurement is authorized in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - only one responsible source that can provide the maintenance of Vectronix equipment that are reasonably available and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 811219 and the PSC code is J059. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a written capabilities statement to the items being procured. Written information must be submitted electronically to [email protected]. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Submission of information does not guarantee that this requirement will become a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to full and open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
