Sustainment Engineering Support

The Department of the Air Force, specifically the Warner Robins Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (WR-AFLCMC), anticipates issuing a five-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to support SOF/PR C-130 aircraft. This cost-reimbursement, no-fee requirement includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods for engineering services, material, travel, and data. Performance will take place at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia, under solicitation number FA850924R0023.

The scope of work focuses on cyber support, analysis of modifications, repair design and analysis, and reverse engineering of components. The selected contractor will conduct laboratory and field testing, provide continued development, and support the Mechanical Equipment and Subsystems Integrity Program (MECSIP) and Avionics Integrity Program (AVIP). These efforts utilize reliability assessment teams, specialized analyses, and quick-turn prototyping to increase aircraft reliability, availability, sustainability, and maintainability across the fleet. The government intends to award this effort to Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC), as they possess the proprietary technical expertise and CAD software tools required to maintain finite element models (FEM) essential for sustainment of SOF aircraft.
