Chamber Control Equipment

Sole Source Intent: The United States Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Yuma Proving Ground, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Malory Engineering, Inc. located at 787 S 950 W, Woods Cross, UT 84087-2079 pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.501(a) Sole source acquisitions. The resultant contract will be a firm Fixed Priced (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract consisting of a quantity of ten (10) each, Chamber Control Equipment with a minimum guarantee of a quantity 1 each. Mallory Engineering, Inc. is the only source capable of providing the required Chamber Control Equipment as Mallory Engineering, Inc. is the original manufacturer of the climatic test chambers and wrote the custom software that interfaces all of the sensors, controllers and hardware. Only Mallory Engineering, Inc. has the knowledge to leverage the existing control solutions and apply them to the chambers while retaining as much of the original chamber control instrumentation as possible preventing a duplication of cost and effort. This requirement will be procured using the acquisition procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519 - "Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing" with a size standard of 500 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency; however, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement.
