Mail screening facility - minor construction improvements

The U.S. Department of State has issued a pre-solicitation notice for minor construction improvements at the mail screening facility of the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, Austria. This project involves the renovation and upgrade of three containers located in the embassy’s inner courtyard to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and improve package handling efficiency. Under solicitation 19AU9026Q0008, the selected contractor will serve as the design and general contractor for tasks including demolition, electrical installation, HVAC upgrades, and the construction of new partitions and wall openings. A client-provided purifier with a HEPA filter and air flow monitor safety enclosure will also be installed.

The project follows an indicative 12-week schedule beginning in summer 2026, consisting of four weeks for detailed design, four weeks for revisions and client confirmation, and four weeks for construction.
