RF Modules

The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAVAIR WD) China Lake, CA intends to issue a firm-fixed price modification to provide additional production units of RF Modules on an existing contract on an other than full and open competition basis. This action is for an additional 25 RF#1 Modules (P/N 1611AS12357). The contract end date will not be extended. This modification is sole sourced to General Microwave Corporation, 227A Michael Drive, Syosset, NY 11791-5306, based on FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The incumbent contractor is the only source capable of providing the RF modules within the limited timeframe required to meet critical Fleet operational needs. Awarding to a different source would require a first article test in addition to production lead time. The time delay for a different source is estimated to be up to 550 days. No solicitation will be issued; however, any firms believing that they can fulfill the requirement may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing its ability to do so without causing programmatic hardships.
