NSW ISU Repair Support

The Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) issued this special notice regarding a contemplated sole-source award to AAR Manufacturing, Inc. for Internal Airlift/Slingable Container Unit (ISU) repair and maintenance support services. Under solicitation H92240-23-Q-0008, the government intends to establish a firm-fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to restore damaged ISU containers to air-certified condition. These services ensure the containers remain viable for worldwide deployments in accordance with the Defense Transportation System, Department of Defense Interface Standards, Air Transportability Test Loading Activity (ATTLA) requirements, and Air Force Instructions.

This requirement is classified under NAICS 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, and PSC J081, MAINT/REPAIR/REBUILD OF EQUIPMENT- CONTAINERS, PACKAGING, AND PACKING SUPPLIES. Although the government is pursuing a sole-source action, it is accepting capability statements from interested parties to demonstrate their ability to provide original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and comply with regulatory guidance including MIL-STD-1791 and AFI 24-605.

Responses are due by March 9, 2023, and must be submitted electronically to the primary point of contact, John Gibbs. Submissions are limited to two typewritten pages and must include company identifiers, business size, evidence of previous similar contracts, and verification of the ability to source OEM parts for AAR Manufacturing containers.
