Mattresses and Protective Encasements
The 5th Contracting Squadron at Minot Air Force Base is purchasing 456 mattresses and 912 protective encasements for 15 Missile Alert Facilities. This 100% small business set-aside requires the contractor to deliver new bedding and dispose of existing mattresses within 120 days of award. The technical standard is the Beautyrest Silver BRS900 Medium Firm or an equivalent that meets specific height, coil, and flammability requirements. Because the delivery sites are high-security remote facilities, all personnel must be U.S. citizens and pass background checks for the Entry Authorization List at least two weeks before arrival. The scope includes 441 standard Twin XL mattresses, 15 custom mattresses, and 912 protective encasements. The contractor is also responsible for the removal and disposal of all legacy mattresses. Procurement and delivery of 441 standard Twin XL mattresses and 15 custom-sized mattresses (34x77x10 inches).
