The US Army corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) has a requirement for maintenance for its fleet of copiers that exist on the Research Network (RN). The copiersare vital to the CHL research mission and are critical for uses of the RN, thus it is essential that they remain in good repair. There are four network copiers that were all purchased from Unitech, Vicksburg, and have been maintained since by Unitech, Vicksburg. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), the ERDC intends to issue an award to Unitech, Vicksburg Inc., 920 Belmont Street, Suite #1, Vicksburg, MS 39180, (CAGE Code: 0J1S0) on a sole source basis. It has been determined that Unitech, Vicksburg is the only one who can provide these maintenance services as they are the ones who currently maintain the copiers and who originally sold CHL the copiers fifteen years ago. They are also familiar with the ERDC RN and how the copiers need to be connected. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811212, Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $30,000,000.00. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the Agency. The information submitted must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the vendor's ability to fulfill this requirement. The contractor must also provide a description of past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references for each. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurment. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this Notice. Interested parties may submit any information or consideration by the Government to [email protected].
