Modular Helium Compression System – OEM Equipment Manufacturer

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center and John C. Stennis Space Center have a requirement for two BAUER GBHE26.12 -6K Helium Compressors. This procurement is classified under NAICS 333912 Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing and PSC 4310 COMPRESSORS AND VACUUM PUMPS. There is no set-aside designated for this notice, which is marked as NONE. NASA intends to issue a sole source contract to Bauer Compressors under the authority of FAR 6.103-1 to acquire these commercial products.

Market research previously conducted through a Request for Information, 80SSC026K0001, identified only one responsible source capable of meeting the specific technical requirements for the equipment. Although the government intends to award a sole source contract for performance in Norfolk, Virginia, interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications for evaluation. These submissions will be used to determine whether the acquisition, identified as solicitation 80SSC026Q0004, should be conducted on a competitive basis.

Capability statements must be submitted electronically via email to Jennifer Rolison and Adrianne Peyton Ragan. The deadline for responses is 3:00 pm CST on June 16, 2026. The determination to compete the requirement remains at the sole discretion of the government. NASA Clause 1852.215-84 regarding the Ombudsman is applicable to this acquisition.
