The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 355th Communications Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with NexTech Solutions for eight High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) systems. This procurement, identified by solicitation number FA487726QA118, supports the establishment of a mobile Mission Planning Cell capable of supporting Expeditionary operations and Mission Generation Force Element deployments during contingencies and exercises. The acquisition is classified under NAICS 334290 Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing and PSC 5810 Communications Security Equipment and Components.
The required equipment includes eight TUCK-NTS-S-1 small-form-factor kits designed for single-person portability and rapid setup in under 10 minutes. These systems must provide NIPRNet and SIPRNet connectivity via U.S. Government transport providers, featuring a minimum of eight ports for each network type and integrated crypto sleds for encryption devices. The units require ruggedized construction for environmental exposure, internal battery power using replaceable MIL-STD radio batteries, and multiple internet integration options including built-in 5G SIM card ports and Ethernet-based solutions like Starshield terminals.
Performance is located in Tucson, Arizona, and the government intends to award the contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as it does not possess the data necessary to manufacture the items through other sources. Interested parties may submit capability statements by the response deadline of June 10, 2026. While all responses received within three work days of publication will be considered, the determination to compete the requirement remains at the government's discretion. The notice includes one attachment, a signed Justification and Approval document.
