59--REF - Project Camera Man - Intent to Negotiate on Sole Source basis for Body Wearable Camera System

U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center intends to solicit for the Rapid Equipping Force on a sole source basis under the authority in FAR 19.1306, HUBZone Sole Source Awards to Tactical Electronics and Military Supply LLC, 2200 N. Hemlock Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK for Body Worn Video Camera Systems. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract for a maximum of 500 systems, with a guaranteed minimum of 10 systems. HUBZone contractors who may be capable of fulfilling this requirement and are interested in pursuing this requirement shall respond to this notice via e-mail to Kari Schoerner, [email protected], or fax (410)306-3877. The Statement of Work (SOW) outlining the requirement will be sent to any HUBZone contractor expressing interest in this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations, however if a HUBZone contractor requests the SOW, the contractor shall be required to submit a capability statement, or a statement declaring they are no longer interested in this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested HUBZone contractors may request the SOW at any time, with the written capability statement or statement declaring the contractor is no longer interested due not later than 3:30 pm EDT, 14 April 2009.
