View moreConcrete shall be discharged at the delivery point within 45 minutes of batching, unless otherwise approved by the Government. Requests for extended delivery times shall be supported by the Contractor’s proposed mix design, use of admixtures (e.g., retarders or hydration stabilizers), and supporting documentation demonstrating that the concrete will meet all specified performance requirements at time of placement.
The Contractor shall be responsible for adjusting mix designs as necessary to account for haul time, ambient weather conditions (hot and cold weather), and project-specific placement requirements, including evening and weekend deliveries.
