Wheeled Crane

The Department of the Army, MICC-FT Drum, is issuing solicitation W911S226U3393 for the procurement of a wheeled crane. This combined synopsis/solicitation is designated as a small business set-aside under the SBA (SBA) program. The requested wheeled crane must be powered by a 3.8L Cummins 4-cylinder diesel engine producing at least 130 horsepower and 360 foot-pounds of torque. The engine must utilize a conventional coolant cooling system and cannot require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). Technical specifications include a four-wheel-drive system with a powershift four-speed forward and three-speed reverse transmission, limited slip differentials, and four-wheel steering with circle, crab, and front-steering modes. The crane must also feature 4-wheel full hydraulic internal multi-wet disc brakes, 385/65R 22.5 high traction radial tires, and a single load-sensing axial piston pump.

The operator’s station must consist of a chassis-mounted cab with roof safety glass, air conditioning, heating, and mechanical lever proportional controls. Safety and operational features include a 360-degree continuous rotation swing circle with a swing lock, a backup camera, a backup alarm, and a full LED lighting package. The structure must include front and rear oblique-type outrigger beams with hydraulic holding valves and a one-piece cast counterweight bolted to the turn-table.
