STEEL GRIT 40

The Department of the Army, specifically the MICC-Fort Drum office, has issued a combined synopsis/solicitation under solicitation number W911S226U3001 for the procurement of size 40 steel grit. This requirement is designated as a Small Business Administration (SBA) set-aside. The acquisition is classified under NAICS code 322299, All Other Converted Paper Product Manufacturing, and PSC 5350, Abrasive Materials. Interested parties must submit their responses by the deadline of April 17, 2026.

The required material must meet SAE J1993 HCS G40H specifications with a minimum hardness of 60 HRC. The grit must maintain a particle shape with no more than 5% round or half-round particles and can be shipped in 50 lb bags.
