NOTICE OF INTENT The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm fixed priced Blanket Purchase Agreement to Khara R Geders dba Ambiguity Zoological (Contractor), DUNS# 080531836. This contract action is for commercial services under NAICS code 712130, Zoos and Botanical Gardens with a small business size standard of $27.5 million for which the agency intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), Simplified Acquisition procedures. The contract period will be for five (5) years, effective September 2019 with a five (5) year maximum estimated value of $250,000.00. This requirement is for intermittent and/or long term housing and caring of venomous and non-venomous insects, amphibians, reptiles, aquatic species, and mammals in custody of USFWS. Work includes general care, cleaning, feeding, watering, rehabilitation and reporting on health assessments, treatments, and overall condition of animals accepted at the facility. The Contractor is located in a close proximity to the USFWS, OLE duty locations in Florida and they are qualified and permitted to possess and care for a wide range of species and subspecies with varying caging requirements for venomous and dangerous wildlife. This announcement constitutes the only notice. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Responses received from this solicitation will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the agency not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the agency. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and would not be cost or time prohibitive.
