Uniform Rental/Repair/Laundering - James E. VanZandt (Altoona) VA Medical Center

The Altoona/James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, located at 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602, has a requirement for a firm fixed price contract to provide staff uniforms. The anticipated period of performance for this requirement includes a one-year base year and four one-year option periods. The vendor shall provide a complete uniform rental service for the Maintenance and Repair (M&R) section of Facilities Service located at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center. The rental agreement shall include the following goods and services: weekly laundering, weekly inspection, repairs, delivery, size changes, replacement, periodic communication with M&R, tracking reports, program management, on-hand inventory, ordering, and initial outfitting and sizing. All goods and services shall be provided in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions contained herein. Per-employee pricing shall be billed annually with the ability to add subtract employees as necessary for staffing requirements which is typically 20-25 full-time employees; initially 20 employees. Uniform color combination has been approved by the Medical Center Director and is not negotiable. Employee uniforms shall be made of Featherweight Flame Resistant (FR) material of a Cat. 2/Arc 2 rating, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E/UL 2112 certified and meet the following characteristics, quantity per employee set in parenthesis: FR Pants-Navy Blue (Qty.9), Featherweight 6.5 oz. or less, carpenter pant (utility and tool pockets), Arc Thermal Performance Value (ATPV) 10.0 or greater, ARC 2 and UL2112 Certified. FR Jeans-Denim Blue (Qty.2), Loose/Relaxed fit 12.0 oz. or less, carpenter pant (utility and tool pockets), ATPV 15.0 or greater, ARC 2 and UL2112 Certified. FR Button up shirt-Grey (Qty5), Featherweight 5.5 oz. or less, moisture wicking, double chest pockets, ATPV 9.5 or greater, ARC 2 and UL2112 Certified. Non-FR Shop Tee-Heather Grey (Qty.11), 100% cotton, pocket tee. FR Hooded Sweatshirt-Navy Blue or Heather Grey (Qty.1), midweight 10 oz. or greater, Cat2-Cat3, NFPA 70E/UL 2112 certified PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Altoona/James E.
