This survey, issued by the System Operations Contracts office, gathers information on systems capable of replacing legacy equipment within the National Airspace System (NAS). The agency will use the collected data to inform future acquisition strategies for solid-state ground station DME/N systems. Submissions require capability statements and technical documentation, including a detailed mapping of product capabilities against the FAA-E-37016 performance specification. The FAA provided a technical specification, a requirements verification matrix, and a question-and-answer log to guide responses. The FAA is using this research to gauge industry capability and technical alignment with current agency standards.
