USNS HENRY J. KAISER - INTERIOR JOINER DOORS
The Military Sealift Command (MSCHQ Norfolk) is conducting market research to identify small business sources capable of manufacturing interior joiner doors for the USNS HENRY J. KAISER (T-AO 187). This notice will help the Navy determine if the acquisition should be a small business set-aside or open to full competition. The doors must be built according to specific technical drawings. The government expects to release a formal solicitation around June 19, 2026, with a contract award following in early July. Submissions must include a capabilities package detailing organizational structure, manufacturing facilities, and any large business partnerships. This market research phase allows the government to align its requirements with current industry capabilities. Responses are due electronically by mid-June 2026, and the government will not accept submissions via fax or mail. This is a market research effort to determine if a small business set-aside is feasible; it is not a formal request for quotes.
