The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of Bulk Solar Salt for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), located at 4700 Bureau South, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirement contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period will consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, with (1) one-year option period. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 325998 - All Other Miscellaneous Chemical Product and Preparation Manufacturing, (Size Standard of 650 employees). This solicitation is a small business set aside. The contractor shall provide Bulk Solar Salt to be used in the water treatment system at FCC Terre Haute. Product shall be 99% pure Sodium Chloride potable water conditioning grade salt. The contractor shall provide approximately 64 deliveries a year, totaling 1,600 tons a year.
