Original Description

This solicitation is forcommercial services for Packing, Containerization and Local Drayage of Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Personal Property Shipments with the 4th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Government reserves the right to cancel the requirement before or after closing. All pricing shall be good thru 31 December 2018. The proposed solicitation is a Request forQuote (RFQ) No. FA480919QA003. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 488991 - Packing and Crating, with a Small Business Size Standard of $27.5M. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside. DESCRIPTION: Non-Personal Service: The contractor will furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, except as specified herein as Government-furnished, for the preparation of personal property of Department of Defense personnel for shipment and/or storage and related services through the Direct Procurement Method (DPM). Work to be performed will be those services in the Schedules awarded to the contractor as outlined in individual Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN). The requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) apply to DPM shipments only. Tasks/Types of moves are: Premove Survey; Weighing; Time Requirements; Preparation, Packing, Loading and Containerization; Tagging, Inventorying, and Packing List; Appliance Servicing and Unservicing; Containers and Vehicles; Marking Exterior Shipping Containers; Storage; Facilities; Cargo Insurance; DPM Delivery, Unloading and Unpacking; and Claims. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 01 January 2019 through 31 December 2019 with four (4) additional one-year option periods.
