The Office of Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), within the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), is seeking to establish a partnership to fill a vacancy for a Diagnostics and Medical Devices Hub. This initiative is part of the BARDA Accelerator Network (BAN 2.0) and utilizes BARDA’s Other Transaction Authority (OTA) to enhance the global health security innovation ecosystem. The selected Hub will provide wraparound acceleration services, entrepreneurship education, and commercialization expertise to innovators developing health security solutions. Key focus areas include pathogen-agnostic surveillance, point-of-care and at-home diagnostics, and innovative medical devices designed to improve casualty care and protect respiratory health.
The Hub is expected to operate as a scalable infrastructure for product development, evaluation, and validation during both regular operations and public health emergencies. While the primary place of performance is Washington, DC, the Accelerator Hub will provide funding and services to mission-relevant innovators nationally. One legal entity must serve as the prime awardee, though the Hub may operate independently or as a consortium of partners. This requirement is classified under NAICS 541714 for Research and Development in Biotechnology (except Nanobiotechnology) and PSC AN13 for Health R&D Services, Health Care Services, and Experimental Development.
