The Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS), Marine Corps, issued this special notice of intent to enter into sole source negotiations and award a contract to Palfinger USA, LLC. Located in Quantico, Virginia, the Program Management, Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) requires the procurement of 36 Palfinger Model #PSC 14209 service cranes to support the Amphibious Combat Vehicle Recovery (ACV-R) Mission Role Variant for the ACV Family of Vehicles. This acquisition is being pursued under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) because awarding to any other source would result in unacceptable delays and substantial duplication of costs not expected to be recovered through competition.
The required equipment consists of commercial cranes capable of lifting at least 6,400 pounds to a height exceeding 16 feet while positioned 12.5 feet from the vehicle’s side without the use of stabilizing outriggers. These units must meet specific technical specifications for maritime environments and be immediately capable of performing without additional modification or development to meet the government’s timeline for Fiscal Year 2027 and 2028. This effort is classified under NAICS 336992 Military Armored Vehicle, Tank, and Tank Component Manufacturing and PSC 2590 Miscellaneous Vehicular Components.
Solicitation M67854-26-I-0015 has a response deadline of June 2, 2026, with the contract award estimated for the end of Fiscal Year 2026. While the government intends to proceed with a sole source award, interested parties may submit a capability statement within seven calendar days of the publication date for consideration. Submissions must be sent to the primary point of contact, LaToya Sawyers, at the Marine Corps Systems Command. There are currently zero attachments associated with this notice.
