Special Notice Special Notice Page 4 of 4 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 4 This is an INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE only. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to issue a sole-source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to Cardinal Health (WaveMark), located at 300 Baker Avenue Suite 207 Concord, MA 01742. RFID Cabinets Service Equipment Maintenance is required to continue service support for the cabinets to function as intended under PSC J065 NAICS 811219. The Vendor shall provide all necessary software maintenance service on RFID Cabinets that is required to ensure full functionality and capability on all equipment for the Michael E. DeBakey VAMC. This action will result in a firm-fixed-price service contract. The period of performance shall be for twelve (12) months beginning October 01, 2026, to September 30, 2027, with three (3) twelve (12) month option periods. Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, and Clause 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, applies. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement not later than 06/15/2026 at 13:00 pm CST, to [email protected] . The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed-price contract. A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed requirement shall be based upon responses received and is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition. REQUIRED SERVICES: Contractor to provide continued maintenance and support services for the existing RFID Cabinets to maintain proper functioning of these cabinets. Contractor shall provide maintenance for equipment, licenses, interface, modules, account management, and support services for WaveMark RFID Cabinets in the Interventional Radiology (IR) section of the Michael E DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, Texas 77030.
