The VA Northport and Hudson Valley Healthcare System -Castle Point Campus is currently seeking to purchase reagents for the Bio-Fire Film Array system for pathology and laboratory medicine testing under the terms of an Indefinite Delivery Quantity (IDIQ). Market research was conducted and determined that BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. is the only vendor capable of providing supplies necessary that meet the requirements off the Pathology and Laboratory Service which must be compliant with the Bio-Fire Film Array system. Changing the source of reagents would mean altering the validity of the results and would severely impact the capacity of the Pathology and Laboratory Service to perform its required functions up to the required standards. All items are manufactured exclusively by BioFire Diagnostics, LLC and also distributed by BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to January 06, 2021. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
