The MK19 40MM MOD 3 and MOD 4 GMG are air cooled, blow-back operated, belt-fed, automatic weapon that fires 40MM grenades from ground mounts and vehicles.
REQUIRED CAPABILITIES
The Government requires fabrication, in-process inspection, First Article Testing, ongoing Lot Acceptance Tests and delivery of the weapon system per the Government Technical Data Package (TDP) and Military Specification. The intent of this Sources Sought is to assess the state-of-the art of the technology available in fabrication/production of the MK19 40MM MOD3 and/or MOD4 Grenade Machine Gun (GMG), Potential sources should also provide Government-define special tools and gauges, as well as spare part kits, and spare barrel assemblies. In addition, the contractor should develop a concise training scope for contractor-led operator and maintainer training for Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The training could potentially take place in CONUS and OCONUS locations. Should a resulting contract be awarded, the First Article Sample would be submitted to the Government 270 days after contract award, and monthly production deliveries would commence within 60 days after Government approval of the First Article Sample. Production Deliveries would ramp up from seventy-five (75) to one hundred twenty-five (130) per month, consisting of MK19 MOD3s or MOD4s or a combination of both. The Spare Parts Kit production deliveries consist of forty (40) to sixty (60) per month. Barrel Assembly production deliveries consist of twenty (20) to forty (40) per month. Depending on the final Government requirement, a maximum production capacity of one hundred and seventy-five (175) per month may be required for the MK19 MOD3/MOD4. A Technical Data Package (TDP) will not be provided with this source sought notice. Responding sources shall provide:

Interested businesses should submit a brief no more than 5 pages capabilities statement package demonstrating ability to provide the products listed in this Sources Sought. Documentation should be in bullet format. No phone or email solicitations with regards to the status of the RFP will be accepted prior to its release.
