Pre-Employment Screening Program

In accordance with Title 49 of the U.S. Code, Section 31150, the agency is required to provide electronic access to crash and inspection data from the Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS) to entities performing pre-employment screenings for the motor carrier industry. The primary objective of the PSP is to provide timely driver-related MCMIS safety and inspection data to motor carriers, industry service providers, or operator-applicants. Selected contractors must ensure data is released only after the account holder attests to receiving written or FMCSA-approved electronic consent from the operator-applicant.
