This is a Synopsis as required by the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 416), and fulfills the synopsis and advertising requirements prescribed in FAR Part 5 - Publicizing Contract Actions. The solicitation will consist of two NSNs: Line Item 0001: 3940-01-600-1308 Line Item 0003: 3940-01-600-1309 Nomenclature: Sling, Cargo, Net These items are fully competitive. Item descriptions and the official technical packages/drawings will be released with the forthcoming solicitation. The solicitation issue date will be on or around 12/13/18, and the closing date will be on or around 01/18/2019. The solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small business. The solicitation does not authorize delivery of any material. The government plans to award a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract and the performance period will potentially be five (5) years: a Base Period of one (1) year and four (4) one (1) year options. Pricing is to be submitted for the one (1) base year. An Economic Price Adjustment will be applied to each option year, if exercised. Government First Article Testing applies in accordance with FAR 52.209-4 First Article Approval - Government Testing. The annual estimated quantities and required delivery schedule can be found in the solicitation. Only FOB Destination pricing will be acceptable.
