High Power Tubes

This posting constitutes the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) notice of intent synopsis to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract as required under FAR 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. BBG intends to award a sole source Single Award Blanket Purchase Agreement under FAR Part 13.501(a)(1)(ii) Simplified Acquisition for High Power Tubes that are mission critical to the performance of the IBB transmitter network that allow the program content provided by VOA, RFA, RFE/RL, SAWA, ALHURRA, and Radio Marti to broadcast their program content including radio and television programming. These tubes are only provided by Richardson Electronics, LTD. BBG will negotiate on a sole source basis with Richardson Electronics LTD, for the aforementioned Tubes with a North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code of 334419 Other Electronic Component Manufacturing. Size standard of $15 Million. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. This notice is for information purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, Contractors with expressed interest and capability must respond in by submitting, in writing, a quote within 15 days after the date of the publication of this Notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
