Cadence IDIQ

This action will be to award a sole-source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract to Cadence for Cadence electronic design automation (EDA) tools, and any (1) technical support and (2) RF/PCB/package part design hardware and software associated with the design tools required.

DMEA requires rapid access to Cadence software tools to perform its engineering mission. This document defines the overall technical scope of the Cadence IDIQ. Specific requirements will be defined, as they are identified, in separate Task Order (TO) Statements of Work (SOWs), to be issued under the Cadence IDIQ.

The entire ceiling value is estimated amount for approximately 5-6 years of Cadence software requirements, mainly software maintenance. DMEA owns perpetual licenses for much of this software, and could use it without the software maintenance for a time, but eventually would become forbidden due to inability to meet current IT cybersecurity requirements rendering the old version
obsolete and disallowed on DoD networks. While some design hardware is included within the technical scope, the needs for such is rare and unknown at this time.
