Life Support Services

The Department of State, through the Acquisitions - AQM Momentum office, has issued a Justification and Approval for the extension of life support and maintenance services at the Residential Compound, Tactical Operations Center, and Embassy Compound. This requirement, identified under solicitation number 19AQMM26C0204, is classified under NAICS 561210 for Facilities Support Services and PSC R799 for Support- Management: Other. The extension ensures uninterrupted operations during the drawdown and decommissioning of existing facilities as the mission transitions to the New Embassy Compound (NEC), which is projected to open between December 2028 and February 2029.

The proposed extension period runs from June 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028, for an estimated duration of 31 months. If the completion of the NEC is delayed, the extension may continue through February 28, 2029. Following the transition to the NEC, a reduced level of services will be maintained for an additional eight months, from March 2029 to October 2029, to facilitate final facility closeout. This phased approach allows the government to maintain operational continuity while planning a full and open competition for long-term services at the new compound, which is scheduled to begin in early 2027.
