UK-Wide Mortuary BPA

The Department of the Air Force, through the 48th Contracting Squadron, is seeking to establish a single, United Kingdom-wide Blanket Purchase Agreement for comprehensive mortuary affairs support services. This requirement supports the 100th Force Support Squadron at Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall and the 48th Force Support Squadron at RAF Lakenheath. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, transportation, equipment, and materials necessary for the collection and handling of human remains from any location on the UK mainland. All services must be performed in compliance with United Kingdom laws and are required on a 24/7 on-call basis.

The scope of work includes preparing all necessary legal paperwork and providing a tiered pricing structure for transportation services based on distance: within a 30-mile radius, between 30 and 150 miles, and exceeding 150 miles. In addition to direct transportation, the contractor must provide interim holding at a licensed facility, including secure, refrigerated storage for up to 30 days. Following any interim storage, the contractor shall provide onward transportation to RAF Mildenhall or RAF Lakenheath as directed.
