Notification of the SEC’s Intent to Award a Single Source Purchase Order to Backstop Solutions Group, LLC

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole source basis to Backstop Solutions Group, 233 S Wacker Drive, Suite 3960, Chicago, IL 60606, for access to the Hedge Fund database. The NAICS code is 518210. The contracting officer has determined that Backstop Solutions Group is the only source that can reasonably meet the SEC's requirements in accordance with RFO Part 12.102.

Backstop Hedge Fund Database is one of several sources of information on hedge funds that are available for use in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) datafit research platform. These databases contain information that hedge funds voluntarily report. The aggregation of Barclay Hedge Fund Data - Backstop data with additional content through datafit fulfills the requirement for comprehensive coverage and analytical tools needed to perform on-going hedge fund industry surveillance which is required by the SEC.

The period of performance for the purchase order is anticipated to be one (1) base year and four (4) option years with a total value below the Simplified Acquisition Threshhold.

The SEC intends to award a purchase order to Backstop Solutions Group on or about July 1, 2026.  This notice is not a competitive request for proposals.  A competitive solicitation will not be issued. However, the government will give consideration to interested parties that identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by the response date of this notice.
