View moreSOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT- The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, limited sources or brand name only BNC CORP of Sand Rafael, California, cage code 23908, under the authority of FAR 12.201-1 for Commercial items using simplified procedures. This is being solicited on a sole source only basis because The required Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWG) will be used to provide various synchronized pulses to modulators and test equipment throughout Aegis test sets at Crane and external vendor facilities. This purchase is specific to BNC Corp (Berkeley Nucleonic Corp) as they are the only direct supplier of AWG in the U.S. that meet the specified characteristics required. The BNC Corp AWGs have been tested and approved as the best equipment to perform within the Aegis test sets. Any provider outside of BNC Corp, may not provide the specific characteristic required or the firmware for the units to be able to be used without further resources being expended. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
