The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) operate mission-critical data center facilities that require continuous, reliable, and conditioned electrical power to support core operations. The facility currently utilizes Piller UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, including Diesel Rotary UPS (DRUPS) configurations with flywheel energy storage and generator integration.
Given the USPTO’s high-availability requirements and compliance obligations under NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and federal data center reliability objectives, the USPTO seeks an independent contractor to provide an engineering evaluation to determine whether to continue operating, refurbish, or replace the Piller UPS systems with an alternative solution
