Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC (FFDG), acting for the Department of Energy, is seeking proposals to replace the purge unit for Chiller No. 5 at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, Illinois. The project requires a subcontractor to provide all labor, supervision, materials, and tools to restore the chiller to full operation. The technical scope follows a 12-step process that includes refrigerant recovery, installation of new purge piping, leak testing, and system recharging.
