FAA National Test Equipment Program (NTEP) Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) Callibration

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued solicitation 6973GH-20-R-00042 to secure calibration services for Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) in support of the National Test Equipment Program (NTEP). The primary objective is to obtain life cycle management services for TMDE required to maintain National Airspace System (NAS) systems, facilities, and services. Contractors must ensure all equipment is calibrated within the specific intervals established in the Calibration Cycle Requirements Table. This requirement is classified under NAICS code 811219 and PSC 6640 Laboratory Equipment and Supplies.

Performance involves the use of predominantly mobile calibration facilities, with fixed facilities utilized for equipment that cannot be serviced on a mobile van. The FAA’s TMDE inventory is located at facilities throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). The National Test Equipment Program Manager and other stakeholders will utilize these services to sustain the operational readiness of NAS equipment across these diverse locations.

The FAA 6973GJ Non-Franchise Acquisition Service is the office responsible for this combined synopsis/solicitation. Following several updates, including an extension to the closing date and clarifications regarding required resumes, the response deadline is April 13, 2020.
