10--Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract Award for Multi-Shot Grenade Launcher Weapon Systems

The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Quantico, Virginia, awarded a five year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract No. M67854-10-D-1038 to Milkor USA, INC, 3735 N. Romero Road, Tucson, AZ 85705-3031 in support of future delivery orders for Multi-Shot Grenade Launcher (MSGL) weapon systems for $42.2 Mil. The MSGL is a lightweight, shoulder fired grenade launcher capable of being carried and employed by one operator over rough terrain or in urban environments. It was specifically designed to meet the requirement for an area fire weapon with a high rate of fire and a maximum range of 400m. It can also be employed with greater accuracy at ranges up to 150m. All elements of the system are suitable for transportation by land, sea, and air. The weapons system is not a replacement for the 1960s era M203 grenade launcher. Rather, the MSGL will be an additive capability to the receiving units. Delivery of contract line items will be as stated on applicable delivery orders. Contract funds will be obligated in multiple delivery orders. This contract was competitively procured via full and open competition. Solicitation M67854-09-R-1002 was released on 20 April, 2009, initiating the formal procurement process with commercial industry. Amendment 0001 to the solicitation was released on 15 May, 2009.
