INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This synopsis is a notice of intent published for informational purposes only. The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph (JBSA-Randolph), TX intends to award a sole-source five-year service contract for the calibration, preventative maintenance, and repair of Haas CNC machinery located on JBSA-Randolph, TX. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed-price contract to a single source under the authority of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) 13.501 - 41 U.S.C. 1903. The intended sole source is Phillips Corporation, Federal Division, (Phillips), 7390 Coca Cola Dr. Ste. 200, Hanover, MD, 21076-1768.The nature of the sole source is that Phillips has been designated by Haas Automation Inc.as the sole and exclusive distributor of Haas CNC machine tools and any associated factory certified services to the U.S. Government. (Single source justification attached.) This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation of offers. However, all responsible sources/authorized service providers may submit a capability statement or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received by Thursday, 9 July 2021, 4:00PM CDT. The capability statement shall clearly demonstrate the ability to meet all the service requirements set forth in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). Note: a determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads Haas CNC Maintenance, JBSA-Randolph TX. Note that e-mail filters at JBSA-Randolph are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe, or .zip files). Therefore, if this subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also, be advised that .zip or .exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the e-mail filters at JBSA-Randolph. If sending attachments with e-mail ensure only .PDF, .doc, or .xls documents are sent. The e-mail filter may delete any other form of attachments.
