THE NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION REQUIRES FABRICATION, CERTIFICATION, AND IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS FACILITY WHICH INCLUDES SUBSYSTEMS/ORBITAL REPLACEMENT UNIT (ORU) AND PARTS TO REPAIR THE SUBSYSTEMS/ORU IN ACCORDANCE WITH ATTACHMENT J-01 SYSTEMS REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT FOR THE PLANT HABITAT (PH), PH-R0001 AND ATTACHMENT J-02 CONTRACT WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE. 2.0 THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FABRICATE FLIGHT PH THAT CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING: A. AVIONICS (2.1) THE PLANT HABITAT AVIONICS REAL-TIME MANAGER (PHARMER) IN EXPEDITE THE PROCESSING OF EXPERIMENTS TO SPACE STATION (EXPRESS) RACK IS THE PRIMARY HARDWARE THAT COMMUNICATES WITH THE CORE MICROCONTROLLERS THAT EXISTS IN EACH SUBSYSTEM AND ALLOWS CONTROL AND COLLECTION OF SYSTEM AND SCIENCE DATA. B. SOFTWARE (2.2) THE SOFTWARE CONTROLS BOTH SYSTEM AND PLANT GROWTH CHAMBER PARAMETERS AND COLLECTS BOTH SCIENCE AND SYSTEM DATA. THE THREE SOFTWARE S BEING DEVELOPED IS FOR THE PHARMER, GROUND SCIENCE STATION, AND THE EXPRESS RACK COMPUTER ON THE ISS. C. GROWTH LIGHT ASSEMBLY (GLA) (2.3) THE GLA PROVIDES THE NECESSARY LIGHT INTENSITY (UP TO 1000 MOL/M2S @ 15CM) AND LIGHT LEVEL ( MOL/M2S @ 15CM) AT 600 RED, 400 BLUE, 100 GREEN, 50 FAR RED, 600 WHITE, AND INFRA-RED (IR) FOR NIGHT FOR PLANT GROWTH. THE GLA ALSO CONTAINS A CAMERA FOR TOP VIEW IMAGING OF THE PLANTS. D. POWER DISTRIBUTION ASSEMBLY (PDA) (2.4) THE PDA RECEIVES 28V POWER FROM FOUR EXPRESS RACK POWER FEEDS. THE PDA CONVERTS THAT POWER AS NECESSARY (DIFFERENT VOLTAGES) TO PROVIDE POWER TO THE OTHER SUBSYSTEMS WITHIN PH AS REQUIRED. E. THERMAL CONTROL SYSTEM (TCS) (2.5) THE TCS CONSIST OF THE MODERATE TEMPERATURE LOOP (MTL) COLDPLATES ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM (ECS), AVIONICS UNIT, PDA, AND GLA; IT ALSO CONSIST OF THE AVIONICS AIR ASSEMBLY (AAA) FORCED AIR FROM THE EXPRESS RACK THAT COOLS THE ORU DRAWER INSIDE THE PH CAVITY, AND INSIDE THE INTERNATIONAL SUBRACK INTERFACE STANDARD)(ISIS) DRAWER. F. WATER RECOVERY AND DELIVERY SYSTEM (WRADS) (2.6) THE WRADS STORES RECOVERED CONDENSATE WATER DELIVERED BY THE ECS, TRANSFER WATER FROM THE RECOVERY STORAGE RESERVOIR TO THE HUMIDITY CONTROL UNIT DURING PRIMING OPERATIONS, TRANSFER RECOVERED CONDENSATE WATER TO THE DISTRIBUTION STORAGE RESERVOIR, TRANSFER WATER FROM THE DISTRIBUTION STORAGE RESERVOIR TO THE SCIENCE CARRIER ROOT TRAY FOR MOISTURE CONTROL (FEEDING), AND PRIME THE SCIENCE CARRIER ROOT TRAY FOR SEED GERMINATION. G. ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM (ECS) (2.7) THE ECS HAS CAPABILITY FOR AIR CIRCULATION&TEMPERATURE/HUMIDITY CONTROL, CARBON DIOXIDE CONTROL, ETHYLENE REMOVAL&AIR SAMPLE, AND ECS PRESSURE AND OXYGEN CONCENTRATION MAINTENANCE. H. SCIENCE CARRIER (2.8) THE SCIENCE CARRIER IS A REMOVABLE AND RECONFIGURABLE TRAY WITHIN THE APH THAT WILL PROVIDE THE PRINCIPLE STRUCTURAL SUPPORT AND FINAL WATER DELIVERY TO THE ROOT-ZONE FOR PLANT GROWTH EXPERIMENTATION. I. GROWTH CHAMBER (2.9) THE GROWTH CHAMBER IS THE PLANT GROW AREA. IT INTERFACES WITH THE ECS MODULES, SCIENCE CARRIER, AND THE GLA (THROUGH A WINDOW). IT ALSO CONTAINS COMPONENTS ON THE BACK OF THE CHAMBER FOR ATMOSPHERE CONTROL, IMAGING CAPABILITY (2 CAMERAS), AND A POWER&COMMUNICATION MICROCONTROLLER. J.
